My son has been helping me with my donkey design this week by colouring in my 1:1 scale drawing.

Donkey is going to be a bit bigger than I had thought, I'll definitely have to buy more stuffing, hopefully I'll have enough yarn (crosses fingers)!
Next up is the difficult task of working out the short rows to turn the neck.

Second sock syndrome has nothing on fourth hoof fatigue. 

While knitting the third and fourth legs I took the opportunity to publish a new tutorial on creating the knitted seams that make those nice rag doll style joints.

One of my customers was talking to me recently about my addiction to short rows, I use them extensively in my patterns to shape the feet and heads of my toys. They are much easier than they sound and I would encourage everyone to give them a try, if you have never used short rows before I really recommend the free craftsy short rows class.

While I was over at craftsy getting the picture above I found a whole list of free classes, there is one ongrafting that I'm going to have to try and another on wool that I think could come in really handy.
