This simple owl pattern is completely loveable and knits up in no time at all.
Techniques used include: knitting in the round, increasing and decreasing, three needle bind off and short rows.
The wings can be knit onto the body or sewn on at the end.
A very small amount of contrast yarn is required for the beak and eyes.
The dreamy owl was designed as a companion pattern to the dreamy fox pattern and can be knit using yarn left over from the fox if you are using the DIC posh recommended for both.
The sample is shown in Dream in Color Perfectly Posh Single Ply (70% Wool, 10% Mohair, 10% Silk, 10% Cashmere 360 yards/100 grams per ball). The sample was constructed knitting the wings on.
The owl is 8 inches tall.
